Improvements in the KNAAP INSURANCE coverage:
- The customer is immediately insured when taking out the insurance / leaving the store.
- The 45 days waiting time for coverage does no longer exist
- Deductible reduced from 0% / 5% / 10% (depending on the postcode area)

- It is possible to also take out European roadside assistance with the policy
MAIN CONDITIONS
Mandatory track and trace with tracking service
For extra security and traceability, you need to provide your bike with a Track and Trace system. This can be accomplished using the Knaap App in combination with Fris Opsporings Service.
Mandatory ART 2 lock and alarm system
Use an ART 2 certified lock with key numbers and an alarm to protect your bike. This increases security and makes it harder for thieves to steal your bike.
Annual renewal
Our bicycle insurance is taken out for an initial period of 1 year. After this year, you have the option to renew the insurance annually, so that your bike remains well protected at all times.
Deductibles
In case of theft, a deductible of 10% of the purchase price applies.

Yes, it is possible to insure your previously purchased KNAAP. For this you need to have the track & trace built in and activate the KNAAP App after downloading it in the Google Play Store (soon also in App store).
TIPS TO PREVENT THEFT OF YOUR FATBIKE
Of course, you not only want good insurance, but also want to take proactive measures to prevent theft. Here are some helpful tips:
- Choose a safe storage place: Always choose a safe place to store your fatbike, such as a garage, storage box or secure bike park in the city.
- Choose an ART-approved lock: Invest in a high-quality lock with an ART rating to deter thieves. An Art-2 lock is suitable to protect your bike, but Art-3 locks or even an Art-4 lock (suitable for scooters and light motorcycles) are better options to protect your e-fat bike.
- Write down the serial number and register your bike with Stop Heling: If your fatbike is stolen, it is sometimes still possible to get it back. Therefore, write down the serial number and register your bike with Stop Heling.
- Buy a KNAAP with GPS tracker or buy a GPS tracker separately
- Choose KNAAP with a removable battery
