Mandatory track and trace with tracking service
For extra security and traceability, you need to provide your bike with a Track and Trace system. This can be accomplished using the Knaap App in combination with Fris Opsporings Service.
Mandatory ART 2 lock and alarm system
Use an ART 2 certified lock with key numbers and an alarm to protect your bike. This increases security and makes it harder for thieves to steal your bike.
Insurance starts after 45 days
Please note that insurance does not start until 45 days after you sign up. This is a preventive measure to avoid fraud.
Annual renewal
Our bicycle insurance is taken out for an initial period of 1 year. After this year, you have the option to renew the insurance annually, so that your bike remains well protected at all times.
Deductibles
In case of theft, a deductible of 10% of the purchase price applies.

KNAAP offers a 36-month lease contract.
This mainly depends on the value of the KNAAP type. The monthly price is determined by the Consumer Recommended Price of the KNAAP, the expected maintenance and repairs over the entire period, the warranty for a new battery, the interest, the costs for theft and damage insurance and the overhead and administrative costs over the entire period.
The monthly costs include the purchase of the bicycle, repairs, maintenance and insurance.
No, we want you to have the leased bicycle repaired and maintained close to your home. If you move, you can find a dealer in the new area. If all that doesn’t work, our national maintenance partner can come by.
There is an option to purchase the bicycle from the leasing company, the leasing company determines the value at that time.
It is possible to purchase the bicycle from the leasing company at the end of the term, but this is not possible during the term. The leasing company determines the value at that time.

You must treat the bicycle as if it were your property, protect it against the elements (store it indoors) and not cause any intentional damage. If this is not the case, the costs resulting from the above will be passed on to the driver.
In the event of theft, you must report it and hand over the report with both bicycle keys and battery keys (if applicable) to the leasing company within 48 hours. The then current agreement will expire. You can then choose (after everything has been approved) to conclude a new lease agreement. The run time then starts again.
